Any process serving firm or legal firm that promises you anything is being deceptive. Sure, we can promise that we will act same-day as advertised, but no one knows what will happen when its time to serve as it can be quite unpredictable at times due to people evading, invalid addresses given, etc. But since we mainly focus on serving Registered Agents, the chances are dramatically minimized since Registered Agents exist to receive legal documents on behalf of corporations and businesses.
We offer full refunds if we are not able to serve a Registered Agent.
For our individual process serving service, we do offer partial refunds unlike most of our competitors but not a full refund due to the nature and uncertainty of the business. At Corinthian Legal Services, LLC we do guarantee that we will act immediately upon receiving your request and that every paper served by Corinthian Legal Services, LLC will stand up and be held valid at a court hearing.
It is essential to hire a private process server who knows the local laws and procedures when it comes to serving legal documents. Many people are unaware that each state has different local procedures and judicial laws that vary from state to state such as not being able to serve people in certain areas or environments, serving on holidays or Sundays, etc.
Also, any party involved in a case cannot serve the papers themselves – documents must be served by an outside party not related to the case. Not knowing state and local process serving laws can severely hinder your case from moving forward or can result in an outright dismissal of your case. Improper service can also cause unwanted court delays which result in additional court fees and attorney fees.
It is imperative to have a professional process server that has the expertise and knowledge to serve your legal documents in a timely fashion along with being in accordance with local laws and regulations. Paying a professional process server a nominal fee to navigate the process the proper way can make or break your case.
A Sheriff can serve your legal documents but usually at a hefty cost and have a reputation of not serving in a timely manner - in some cases, not even at all. Using a Sheriff is not recommended.
* In Washington DC, a Sheriff cannot serve your legal documents.

With serving Registered Agents, this is rarely the case. For individuals, the named defendant cannot be located through regular procedures, the court of jurisdiction upon request may permit service by publication in a newspaper or by mail. In some states and jurisdictions, a “Substitute Service” on a family member typically over the age of 18 that resides in the same household can be an acceptable form of service but is often a last resort method of service.
Always be sure to reference your local laws and regulations and the proper rules of procedure in your state or jurisdiction. If for some odd reason we cannot serve your case after multiple attempts, we will send you an Affidavit of Non-Service outlining all our attempts that were made on the business/individual proving that a diligent effort was made to complete the service. The Affidavit of Non- Service should also be filed with the court.
